POSTITION SUMMARY:
The Program Coordinator plays a key role in delivering workforce development services that empower individuals to achieve long-term economic stability. This position provides comprehensive career support, including assessments, individualized employment planning, and ongoing coaching to help participants secure full-time, unsubsidized employment.
In addition to direct service delivery, the Program Coordinator supports overall program operations, including coordination of activities, data tracking, reporting, and ensuring compliance with grant and funding requirements. This role works closely with the Program Manager and team members to implement effective strategies, monitor outcomes, and continuously improve program impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct in-depth assessments to identify participants’ employment needs, strengths, and barriers
- Collaborate with participants to develop and implement Individual Employment Plans that outline clear pathways to employment
- Assist participants in utilizing job search tools, resources, and technology
- Provide ongoing career coaching, employment counseling, mentoring, and job search support
- Support participants with resume development, interview preparation, and workplace readiness skills
- Monitor participant progress, maintain regular contact, and provide job retention support to ensure successful outcomes
- Conduct employment verification and follow-up with participants and employers in accordance with program guidelines
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with local employers, community agencies, and training providers
- Conduct outreach and recruitment activities to promote program services and engage participants
- Identify and connect participants to appropriate training opportunities, including work experience, classroom training, and on-the-job training
- Coordinate and host hiring events, employer presentations and quarterly job fairs to connect participants with opportunities.
- Collect and analyze labor market information to inform program services and participant guidance
PROGRAM COORDINATION & COMPLIANCE:
- Assist in coordinating programming activities to ensure all contractual deliverables and deadlines are met
- Support data collection, database management, and reporting to ensure accuracy and compliance with funding requirements
- Analyze program data to evaluate effectiveness and support continuous improvement efforts
- Prepare reports and documentation under the direction of the Program Manager
- Assist in developing systems and processes to track program performance and outcomes
- Ensure compliance with grant requirements and approved project plans
- Coordinate with internal teams and external evaluators as needed
- Participating in team meetings, training, and professional development opportunities
- Perform other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in field appropriate to area of assignment such as Workforce Development, Human Resources, Social Work, Business, Education/Training, or a related field, plus 2 years of relevant experience; or any equivalent combination of years of education and experience
- Knowledge of local labor market trends and workforce development systems
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse populations
- Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships with community partners and employers
- Knowledge of the social, educational, and economic challenges facing off-reservation American Indian populations, particularly in Coconino County
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and adapt to changing priorities
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed

NOTE – All Staff Requirements
- Must have or able to obtain a State of Arizona Department of Public Safety Fingerprint Clearance Card within 90 days.
